They're so simple and you can adapt it anyway you like. The possibilities are endless. But today, I'm going to tell you about the chocolate one i made! It was so yummy and tantalizing on the taste buds! It felt naughty but I can assure you its all 'healthy' to some extent. No, its probably not as healthy and metabolism boosting as a smoothie.. but we can treat ourselves sometimes right?
First of all you need:
- A Blender (and a pretty decent one too)
- A Nice Big Glass Or Tumbler
- A Handful Of Ice
- Options Hot Chocolate
- Unsweetened Almond Milk (alternatively you can use any milk)
- Light Whipped Cream
Ok, so start off by grabbing your blender and handful of ice, blend this for a few minutes until its like snow haha.
Some blenders will find it harder to blend ice and if it doesn't blend all of it then just continue to add all the liquidy stuff anyway. Start with the milk, I recommend 200ml, but its up to you on how much you want to make? Blend this with the ice for a minute or so untill all ice and liquid is blended together. It should look like a thick slushy shake at this point.
Next, add 3 heaped teaspoons of options hot chocolate powder - alternatively you could use chocolate milk shake, Cadbury hot chocolate, Wispa.. anything chocolate flavoured. Belnd again for another minute and you're basically done. This one is more like a milkshake? But if you're feeling brave, add coffee to it and then it will really be a starbucks dupe for a mocha frappachino. Mmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Pour your icey liquidy contents into a big glass, top with a generous quirt of light whipped cream and BOOM, you're done. Enjoy drinking this drink in the sun whilst listening to music. You're welcome.
Be creative though! Change up the flavours, have a caramel one, a strawberries and cream one, white chocolate mocha, gingerbread latte.. GO WILD. I know I will.
